What’s more royal: a formal birth announcement written in passive voice or fancy floral hats, tidy bouquets and vast gardens filled with the prettiest, most meticulously tended English blooms?

Monday’s announcement from Buckingham Palace that “Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Sussex was safely delivered of a son” (in American English, Meghan Markle had a boy) got us thinking about Prince Harry, the Royal Family and Queen Elizabeth. And when you think about the 93-year-old monarch, you naturally think of flowers.
