We’ve wanted to start a reading club for ages, and since it’s February and it’s cold and omigod winter won’t end, now seems like the perfect time. We’re calling it the mutterhood (catchy, right?) and you can find it exclusively on our Facebook page, mutterhood.com.
Here’s how it works: For every issue of mutterhood magazine, we’ll select a book or novel that reflects the theme of that issue. We’ll then meet up on Facebook in the mutterhood group once a week to talk about the book, and maybe movies, other books we’re reading, fun stuff like that. With HOME as our current issue, we chose The Great Believers, by Rebecca Makkai, a novel set in Chicago and Paris whose story spans the AIDS crisis in the 1980s and the art world today. (Read more about the novel here.)
